Abstract

The future economic necessity of mining copper ores with a high impurity content and increased environmental awareness will require closer examination of the distribution of arsenic within copper smelting processes. A generalized approach is developed which can be adapted to specific projects for the determination of an overall process configuration to satisfy all requirements in a cost effective manner.
