Abstract
The anomaly ratio is obtained by dividing the analyzed value of an element by the anomaly threshold value of the element. The sum of anomaly ratios for all anomaly elements in a sample may be compared with similar sums for other samples, so that samples having the greatest anomaly- ratio totals can be recognized easily.
