THE first session of the Institute was held in the hall of the Washington University, Wednesday evening, May 27th, President Raymond in the chair. After the address of welcome by Hon. Thomas Allen, and the reply of Mr. Raymond, the following names were presented for election as members and associates, duly indorsed by the Council.
