Abstract

A number of new thoughts have recently emerged concerning the role of air decks, stemming, gas confinement and gross motion in specific blasting environments and applications. Field research in full-scale production environments is based on the theoret ical work f i rst proposed at the Universi ty of Maryland’s Fracture Mechanics Laboratory.
