The start-up and operating results obtained at Zia Technology Inc.'s first commercial operating facility at Caldwell, Texas are described. The operation which stated in early 1991 is the first to employ the patented Inclined Rotary Reduction System (IRRS') with the associated 'all-metallic retort for the recovery of all metallics contained in EAF dust.
