Abstract

Typical operations necessary to develop oil and gas reservoirs are reviewed, including exploration, drilling, cementing, completion, work over, sand control, stimulation, enhanced recovery and production. The role of industrial minerals in these operations is described. Some of the opportunities and problems affecting increased use of industrial minerals in drilling and stimulation are discussed.
