Abstract

Since its inception during the hectic days of World War II, Kaiser Steel Corporation has developed and maintained a solid reputation as a progressive company with an incessant penchant for attempting innovative ideas to improve its stature in the American and world corporate framework. The very latest in technology is aptly demonstrated in the new Basic Oxygen Process recently placed into operation at Kaiser's huge Fontana Steel Mill. Daring ventures such as this and other developments on pollution control devices have propelled Kaiser Steel Corporation into the forefront as the largest steel producer in the western United States. Kaiser Steel's boldness and willingness to attempt new ideas and the very latest in technology is by no means limited to its steelmaking operation. It extends into every phase of Kaiser's corporate structure.
