Abstract

Professor Miklos Salamon, Research Adviser to the Chamber of Mines of South Africa, has won the Rock Mechanics Award for 1983 of the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers 'for applications of analysis to many varied practical mine design problems’.
