Abstract
Powder metallurgy is a net shape process competing favorably with machining, stamping, forging and castings. The growth of ferrous powder metallurgy over the past four decades reflect the advancements in materials technology, compaction technology, sintering technologies and other related fields. This presentation gives a brief background on how materials technology evolved.
