Abstract

The thermodynamic properties of CU2S-FeS system are important not only in the case of copper smelting but also in the case of general pyro-mctallurgy, However there are not many reported activity data In this study, activities of FeS and CU2S in the CU2S-FeS system were calculated using the Darken's method from the activity data of the CU2S-FeS-Sb2SJ systems measured by the transportation method at 10S0°C. The activities of CU2S and FeS in the CU2S-FeS system showed negative deviation from the ideal behaviour and satisfied the relation of the Gibbs-Duhem equation,
