The Deep Ore Zone (DOZ) is a copper-gold deposit being developed underneath the current Intermediate Ore Zone (IOZ) mine. One of company's current plans is to prepare this mine for a steady oreflow of 25,000 tpd by year 2003. This study includes the estimation of airflow requirements for various mining activities, the design of major intakes and returns, the determination of airway resistances and specifications of fan duties. It also includes the results of air pressure/quantity measurements in existing airways and the standards stated by the current Indonesian mining law.
