Abstract

This paper deals with a new development in recycling second generation catalytic converters, namely metal substrate converters (MSC). It describes a patented dismantling process, whereby the MSC is segregated into it's three components outer steel shell, metal substrate carrier foil and ceramic W8shcoat with embedded precious metals.
