A New Beneficiation Process For Treatment Of Supergene Monazite Ore

This paper provides some general discussions on the development of a new beneficiation process for the treatment of a highly complex monazite orebody located at Mt Weld, Laverton, Western Australia. The complexity of this rare earth ore and the associated problems encountered in ore preparation, desliming and flotation in beneficiation during the development study stage and the solutions to these problems are reviewed.
