Abstract

This paper describes a DC (direct current) electrical resistivity method, which uses the contrasts in resistivity measurements to estimate the diameter of jet grouted columns as soon as they have been completed, with varying depth and water table, and without excavation. The measurement procedure is illustrated by several examples of application sites, including the Grand Paris tunneling works during the last 3 years where the method was systematically recommended in quality control for jet grouting works.
