Abstract
Typical heavy metal removal system generate a great deal of waste that must then be discharged somewhere. Using Bio-Fix Beads developed by the Bureau of Mines in combination with other waste stream minimization processes, Harrison Western Environmental Services has developed a "zero" discharge operation. Data from current on-site operations will demonstrate the effectiveness of the Harrison Western approach.
