|The extraction of platinum and rhodium from scrapped honeycomb autocatalyst into hydrochloric acid/aluminum chloride/nitric acid solutions is described. Results are given for the effects of leachant composition, temperature and catalyst pre-reduction using hydrogen. Data are also presented for the recovery, by hydrogen reduction, of platinum and rhodium dissolved in the leach solution. Parameters studied include solution composition and temperature, hydrogen pressure, and platinum seed addition.|
